These images are the work of Spanish Architects Torres & Lapena. They follow a generation of culturally expressive and contemporary Catalan Architects like Carma Pinos and Enric Miralles.
What I really admire about Catalan Spanish Architects is that as a whole they some how manage to design structures and building that feel crafted, and have a timeless quality about them.Nowadays most contemporary architecture has a similar aesthetic, whether it be in the US, the UK, Asia or Africa. Most of the time it looks like something generated out of a computer- shiny, glossy, well-packaged, brand new – even the assembly and detailing looks Ford-ist.

These are projects at Constitution Square, Castelldefels Castle and La Granja Escalator in Spain, all built during the previous decade.
