These images are from the fashion and lifestyle blog Très Bon Goût which shares a very cool range of lifestyle and fashion related images. I mainly follow the blog for it s collection of menswear. It’s neat, continuous scrolling visual feast of great mens’ style – vintage and contemporary.
Garance Dore, mostly known for her talent in illustration and street fashion photography has an unassuming little tumblr blog made up of a collection of inspiration images.
I love it because she is a pretty inspiring lady who has created an independent brand within the ocean of the fashion world, and a brand that sells not products, but shares art, experiences and insights.
Amazing photographic work by Canadian photographer Jonathan Savioe. His work always inspires me to travel, there is something very special about most of his photos, they seem unplanned, like he just stumbled onto moments while walking down a street, whether it be in Toronto or Tokyo.
Designed Memory is a web-branding design studio which has recently re- designed, branded and launched a single online platform integrating all of Beyonce’s online products – website, twitter and tumblr. Their work involves focusing more on visual language than actual words, and creating dynamic backgrounds and imagery. In a way their designs are like online picture/pop-up books.
Some of the other work they have been involved in is the web-branding for The Row, Alice + Olivia.
Oliver Percovich, founder of the NGO Skateistan started a project in Kabul, Afghanistan almost 5 years ago with a mission to use skateboarding as a tool of youth empowerment in a place where it had never existed.
These images are of the first book which tells the story of the project, and talks about other programmes being set up in Cambodia, Pakistan and Mazar-e-Sharif.
Living in Cape Town, which has a large skateboarding community and having visited Pakistan and seen the streets there lined with Afghani child refugees there is something that is really awesome about what the people at Skateistan are trying to do. Most of the children from this region ( unfortunately) work, earn and provide for their families in the most difficult of circumstances. They are more mature and more adult than most adults I know.
Something that can bring their youth back, that is fun and rewarding as a sport is really awesome. Really Awesome.
