Stunning black and white photography by Jealoup Sieff.
These great black and white images are the work of photographer Josef Hoflehner. They capture aircrafts making a descent towards the landing strip at St Maarten Airport in the Caribbean which happens to be right next to a public beach.

I was looking through the online archives of the photographic exhibition celebrating the Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee. Under a number of royal portraits credit was given to photographer Yousuf Karsh. Until today I recognized his photographs but never heard the name.
Predominantly a portrait photographer, these images are a small part of his work, but are the ones that I really liked most. Lightbox and photoshop wasn’t an option when he was working, which really makes these photographs, his capture of depth, emotion, light and shadow that much more amazing.
