Love the minimalist, monochromatic, smooth-like skin, vintage-look of this Dior Homme range of suits. There’s a lot going on in terms of style references but the overall look still has that Dior timelessness that is classic, smooth and handsome.
The images are of Vogue’s 120 years, Bureau Betak-designed event in Beijing. I just love the larger-than-life scaling of the magazine and its campaigns, and to keep the brand true to itself. Looking at these just makes me want to own a giant size Vogue cover carpet, or table even one of those magazines.
The future of fashion for me is not about intelligent micro-fibre fabrics or high-tech couture but really its about global contemporary culture fusion. This campaign for Prada really hints at the possibilities.
Designed by London-based art director and illustrator Tara Dougens, the campaign was inspired by Prada’s latest men’s collection but to be designed for Japanese magazine Commons & Sense Man in animation. The end result is an engaging storyboard, with the manga references and blog-friendly use of gif animations.
Cool concept for a cool brand.
Love these retro, cultural pattern inspired clutches by South African based designers Lalesso X Pichulik.
The combination of fabrics, patterns, ropes, threads and zips in the collection makes this a South African summer must-have.
