I was looking through the online archives of the photographic exhibition celebrating the Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee. Under a number of royal portraits credit was given to photographer Yousuf Karsh. Until today I recognized his photographs but never heard the name.
Predominantly a portrait photographer, these images are a small part of his work, but are the ones that I really liked most. Lightbox and photoshop wasn’t an option when he was working, which really makes these photographs, his capture of depth, emotion, light and shadow that much more amazing.
Love this DJ and his band…combines all my favourite sounds – electro, jazz and french house.
I’m not sure who does their album art/posters but I love the vintage collage / cartoon illustrations and photography. Very cool.
These images are the brand indentiy for Sofia, a building designed by renowned Argentinian American architect Cesar Pelli who is known for his skyscrapers.
The brand identity designed by Anagrama intended to showcase the building and it’s tenants, and generate a lifestyle based identity for the building. The name Sofia, also added to the personification.
I really love this branding, its sophisticated and classic with the use of the British sans serif type, coat of arms and vintage key illustrations and logos, and bold, bright and gold to add a Mexican culturally artistic touch.
I really believe this is one of the best sites for urban, architectural and interior inspired imagery. Apart from an endless scrolling blog, there are categories ranging from cities, to pools, staircases to food and cars. All are selected with design as the core, as well as being titled and tagged properly.
Definitely one of my favorites and one I often refer to for research.
